11-Day Absence Addressed The Buccaneers’ QB, Tom Brady

Published:

Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the league and looks to continue making history in his 23rd year in the NFL. The only issue is, he took an 11-day absence from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving the entire football world with questions.

The 45-year-old made his return to the field this week on Saturday to make his preseason debut against the Indianapolis Colts. He threw 6 for 8 for 44 yards in his lone series, which consisted of 11 plays. The last thing the Buccaneers want to do is add their veteran QB to the growing list of NFL injuries we are seeing.

He noted his time away from baseball saying, “It’s all personal.”

Tampa Bay was defeated 27-10, moving to 0-3 in the preseason. The Bucs look to regroup and gear up for their week one game against America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, September 11. They will be one of the favorites to compete for a Super Bowl.

Brady has been in the headlines since he decided to attend the University of Michigan; he has never been shy to say what is on his mind.

“Everyone has different situations they’re dealing with and we all have unique challenges to our lives,” Brady said after Saturday’s preseason game and he added “I’m 45-years old, man. There’s a lot of shit going on, so you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it’s a continuous process.”

The former New England Patriot did not go into detail on his personal life, but sources believe he was in the Bahamas with his wife, Gisele. Brady has not owned up to it, nor has he stated he was not on vacation.

“I feel good. I’ve played football for a long time. I’m pretty good at it,” Brady said. “[It] doesn’t take me long for me to remember how to play it.”

With two weeks until all eyes are on Brady, he still has some time to get back into the game, both mentally and physically. At this point in his career, it is hard to doubt a quarterback like Brady. He is also one of the few players in any professional sport where you will simply let him disappear for 11 days because he is that important.

“We’ve had some injuries with the line we’re all dealing with, but you know, try to put together a good unit to go out there and compete,” Brady said. “We’re playing against a really good opponent in Dallas. It’s going to be a really good test for us.” He added.

Tom Brady’s Road to 8

Tom Brady is looking to do the unthinkable in what could be his final season in the NFL. He is chasing his 8th Super Bowl in the 2022-23 season.

If you are superstitious, you might want to pay attention to this. Brady has won Super Bowl’s in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021. Are you starting to see the pattern here. The math says that the month of February in 2023 might be scary for the rest of the league.

The Super Bowl hangover has been real for Brady throughout his career. Not necessarily as bad as you might think, but he has only gone back-to-back once.

Anything can happen in the NFL, especially with the expanded seasons we see today. As of now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the second-best betting odds to win the championship at +750. The only other team with better odds is the Buffalo Bills.

Brady is the only player in the league with five Super Bowl MVPs. At this point, he really has nothing to lose. He is a future first-ballot hall of famer and widely considered to be the greatest football player of all time.

A lot was lost since last season for Tampa Bay, but just as much was gained back. Gone are the days of Antonio Brown causing a ruckus, and gone are the days of the Gronk spike’s. Some experts have not ruled out a Rob Gronkowski reunion with Brady, but for now, Brady is without his battery mate.

There is a new three-headed monster at Raymond Jones Stadium. Joining Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is one of the best wide receivers in the game, Julio Jones. Everything is shaping up for Brady to get his 9th ring, but he has a lot of work to do.
