Artificial intelligence is still a young discipline; and was invented in the 1950s. It, therefore, tends to evolve in the coming years to become even more sophisticated as technology progresses. It is therefore very likely that one day the computer will have intelligence capacities that may even be superior to humans. Indeed, the goal of scientists in the field of strong Artificial Intelligence is to be able to simulate human intelligence and the behavior of a human being endowed with consciousness and feelings. In addition, if these machines could dominate us … They would become superior to man. In addition, they have an advantage, which is not negligible: they do not have our physical constraints. Indeed, they do not need to sleep to regenerate.

Artificial intelligences also have the capacity to develop, so they can evolve in an environment of their own (a computer). A study was done at the University of Michigan, within the science department, to prove this fact. A software called Avida was created to test the evolution of digital organisms; they are composed of a program, which is specific to them but also of a memory region and a processor. Avidians (Avida organisms) reproduce at very high speed in their virtual world; they need the energy they produce by performing mathematical calculations. The researchers concluded that Avidians could not only reproduce but also evolve from generation to generation.

Keeping in view the future goals and prospects of AI, 360Digitmg has developed and launched Artificial Intelligence courses and data science training in Hyderabad in India in collaboration with IBM. Man created artificial intelligence with the aim of being able to infuse our own intellectual capacities into machines and that they be his equal. Moreover, if man’s dream came true … If he ended up giving birth to a machine smarter than himself … This hypothesis is highly probable given the exploits achieved in this area by scientists.

Machines will not be limited, like humans, by raw computing power. However, will they one day be capable of reasoning, of intuition, of seeing emotion? Is consciousness reducible to algorithms, however complex they may be?

Soon, we may see robots flourish capable of performing more daily tasks such as driving a car, going shopping … These works, which are still in their early stages, augur potential applications in a wide range of sectors!

For Penrose, the operations of human consciousness cannot be reduced to the execution by neural networks of algorithms, however complex they may be. According to him, the human brain is the seat of mechanisms based on quantum gravity, and which would explain the character not reducible to the algorithm of intelligence.

Moreover, the common intuition is that the dizzying increase in computing capacity will intensify. It will make it possible to manufacture supercomputers performing automated tasks currently inconceivable. But that this will never lead to the production of conscious entities. The underlying idea is that humans have an additional dimension: machines will never have a soul.

For others, everything is calculation and a consciousness will appear spontaneously when we build complex machines. In any case, if our brains are real biological calculators, they are remarkable computers.

Artificial intelligence in Near future:

Nowadays there are already self-driving cars but there are some flaws in their programs. Sometimes they can miss their maneuvers or not respect the initial route. They are guided by cameras and sensors placed throughout the vehicle. We can consider it as an AI because it adapts to its environment and can react on its own, it is able to dissociate the road from obstacles and sidewalks.

This use of Artificial Intelligence could improve the movement of disabled or blind people. They will acquire independence and autonomy of movement. Researchers from the CNRS in Clermont-Ferrand have developed an autonomous vehicle navigating through a camera and an on-board computer serving as its “brain”. This vehicle is currently of the order of the prototype.

We would all dream of having a domestic robot of the same model as Sony from “I, Robot”, a real companion who can think and speak, protect us, etc. Don’t dream it doesn’t exist yet. May be soon .

In a medical field, this project is under development but it will be used in the near future, we are talking about smart prosthetics. You ask yourself at this moment: “What is intelligent in a prosthesis?” Everything is smart in a prosthesis. Indeed, it may seem strange to some but these artificial limbs are endowed with intelligence because they must adapt to the person to be in agreement with him. For example, an artificial arm grafted onto a person must be able to measure its strength to catch a drink; too much pressure will break it and not enough will cause it to fall.

A distant future for Artificial intelligence:

In certain situations, such as assembly-line work, the machine can replace man to relieve him and optimize his work: This results in economic and temporal benefits for the company. However, the search for profit undermines the existence of man by systematically replacing him with robots.

During operations at risk, human lives can be endangered. Indeed, firefighters and rescuers risk their lives: machines could replace them and thereby reduce the mortal danger.

However, it is necessary to qualify, depending on the operation, only human intuition can triumph and provide a solution, where the machine follows a strict and mechanized regime, which can lead to the opposite of the desired effect.

Director Andrew Stanton voiced one of the fundamental fears about AI:

Men would become entirely dependent on new technologies and no longer act on their own. See instead:

As you can see, man no longer undertakes anything, he no longer has any initiative, and he is indeed carried like a common bag: he no longer does physical exercise and his body therefore suffers the consequences. . Robots serve man; he is entirely dependent on them.

We can also imagine a sort of male or female “voice” that would tell us in the evening when we come home from work: “How was your day Madam / Sir?” This voice would be a program directly linked to the various computer parts of the house such as the television or the computer and any other computer or electronic equipment. Therefore, a simple command of the voice would perform a task making the life of the elderly much simpler. This domestic intelligence will not only perform tasks such as “opening / closing” the refrigerator or even “heating thermostat 5 for 30 minutes”. It will also be able in the distant future to communicate with you and express its feelings.

Of course, the distant future is conceivable from many angles! We draw this imagination from this science fiction, which is much more based on science than on fiction.

After Wall-e, “I, Robot”, a science fiction film which contains numerous references to certain contemporary concerns of Artificial Intelligence. On the one hand, anthropomorphism, caricatures one of the current tendencies of robotics to create robots with “human” shapes and expressions, which Del notices and denounces elsewhere. On the other hand, concepts like the emergence and evaluation of human characters of a possible robotic thought are discussed during the dialogues between Del and Sonny, or by the fictitious father of robotics, Alfred Lanning, thus referring to the work by John Conway and Alan Turing.

We could also talk about the famous film by George Lucas, “Star Wars”!

It is a science fiction cinematic epic, emblematic of the space opera genre. This consists of six feature films produced between 1977 and 2005.

Through these six feature films, we find all kinds of irrational things for the time. Vessels, or robots mainly. The latter particularly well represented in the Prelog (produced between 1999 and 2005).

This cult epic could also be an alternative to the world of tomorrow.

In the trailer of this fourth episode, we can see “Droids” (terrestrial with R2-D2, C-3PO or the magna guards, as space with the separatist tri-droid hunters). A General Grievous whose only part of the brain is “human” means a prosthesis or a body completely reconstructed after calcination.

Once again, concrete examples, since almost all of them, are discussed.

The future is hidden from us, but let’s not doubt the presence of AI in it.
